Event detail
- Could your company benefit from additional funds for research and development?
- Are you trying to exploit new technologies and bring new products to market?
- Are you prepared to collaborate and work in partnership to do so?
If so - then this workshop is for you.
The European Union spends around 4 billion Euros on research and technical innovation each year. In the UK, the Technology Strategy Board has an annual budget of around £711M. These are just two of the important sources of funds for R&D - but there are many others. Often the programmes are designed to encourage the inclusion small and medium sized businesses. The rewards can be significant.
However, we recognise that getting hold of the funds isn't always easy. The application process is normally competitive and putting together a good bid is time consuming and costly. But the reality is that many bids are quite poor. By paying attention to good practice and employing some proven tools and approaches, you can dramatically increase your chances of success.
By the end of this workshop you will have:
- Learned about some of the main sources of funding open to you
- Understood what distinguishes a good application from a poor one
- Taken on board some useful concepts that you can apply to your proposal
There will be an opportunity in the afternoon for delegates to discuss their ideas in one to one sessions with the speakers and other experts experienced in putting together winning bids.
There is no charge for this workshop thanks to the generous support of Harwell Oxford, the Oxfordshire Innovation & Growth Team and Oxford Brookes University.
